Design Brief

Create a table tent for Italian restaurant Pasta Amore, an establishment targeting upper-middle class families, where parents are in their 30’s and 40’s and looking for a place to bring their young family that is nicer than McDonald’s, but not as formal as a restaurant where you need a reservation.

Use the table tent as a way for patrons to continue engaging with the restaurant while dining and after going home.

Inspiration

Dough Pizzeria Napoletana is a local restaurant that greatly inspired the design of Pasta Amore's menu. Dough is a family favorite and I felt like their target audience was very similar to that of Pasta Amore.

This advertisement from Dough provided a lot of inspiration for my table tent. Their brand identity is consistently present in the design, a fun photo catches the viewer's attention, hierarchy is used to get the important information out in a specific sequence, and it closes with a call-to-action.

Drafting

Adobe InDesign used for the layout of this table tent.

The table tent was a major opportunity to freshen up the “look” of Italian restaurants – making the deliverable look more Instagram-worthy and sleek, but still with a touch of traditional Italian imagery.
